Nuclear waste remains radioactive for thousands of years, so how do we ensure a safe disposal?

Everyone is invited to attend seminar by Gianvito Scaringi „ Thermo-hydro-mechanical simulation of a radioactive waste disposal mockup test: results and insights from performance evaluation“ via Google Hangouts Meet. In this presentation, the latest results obtained in task 5.2 (numerical modelling of large-scale tests) within the H2020-EU-Euratom project BEACON (Bentonite Mechanical Evolution, grant No. 745942) will be presented. Additional analyses and considerations will be made, in the light of the continuation of the work in current and future projects. This is the third and final seminar in partial fulfilment of the requirements of the postdoctoral contract within the project Mezinárodní mobilita výzkumných pracovníkůUniverzity Karlovy (International Mobility of Researchers at Charles University, project No. CZ.02.2.69/0.0/0.0/16_027/0008495).
